Fairytale Princess Wedding Theme Ideas

The epitome of the romantic wedding, ideal for the warmer months especially if yours is the Cinderalla story. Related themes: Fairy; Medieval /Renaissance.

Colour Scheme:
Pastel shades especially white and pink with silver splashes

Invitations & Stationery:
Send out cinderella invitations or a scroll with calligraphy and wax seals. Fill invitations with silver or red rose petal confetti. Or have a simple invite with white card tied with pink organza ribbon, accented with roses or pearls.

Location:
a castle, a mansion, a ballroom that over looks a garden or a garden setting with fountain or lake

Flowers:
Other than red roses, your flowers should be of pastel colors and delicate textures, entwined with ivy, tulle and ribbons - Baby's Breath,, Gardenias, Lily of the Valley, Stephanotis, Gypsophilia.

Decorations:
Use a lot of pastel colored tulle, satin ribbons, bows, pearl, bells, birds, coaches, castles, red roses, ivory decorations. Sprinkle pink and white petal confetti across tables. Fill silver goblets with petals or pink and white sweets. Create trellises and arches from roses, ivy, and bell shaped flowers with outside tables and chairs draped in tulle.

Food & Drink:
A pure white cake covered in pink and white roses toppped with fresh or sugar pink and white rose. or a castle cake. Serve wine in large studded goblets

Wedding Attire:
Wear a beautiful sweeping bell shape Cinderella dress, a white loose chiffon dress with a cross laced front and daisy chain in your hair or a white silk dress with thick laced up back or broderie anglais bodice. Couple with silver jewellery, silver tiara with diamonds or flower shapes or a coronet style tiara with pearl accessories.

Put flower girls in pink ballerina style dresses and bridesmaids in pink or silver satin dresses with a simple bouquet and flower wreathes on their heads.

Midsummer/Garden Party Theme Ideas

For a romantic wedding go al fresco with an outdoor garden party. Choose from a victorian picnic by the river with hampers or re-create a secret rose garden or combine aspects of both for a romantic memorable summer wedding.

Colour Scheme:
Rose pinks and ivory, terrecotta and cream, lavender and white

Invitations & Stationery:
Send out on rose or lavender scented paper.Rose cut outs in cream with rose pink inserts to show through. Engraved monograms on heavy cream card and fill envelopes with rose petals or lavender. Single dried stems of lavender or rose buds attached to invites and place names

Location:
In a Marquee set in beautiful grounds or a walled garden or by a river

Flowers:
Mix summer flowers in differing shades of pink, roses and geraniums would work well for a rose garden theme.Utilise heavily fragranced flowers like jasmine or rosemary

Decorations:
Have lanterns and tealights along side the path your guests will travel. Low hanging baskets filled with trailing fuschias and geraniums. Table decorated with large potted geraniums, roses or begonias. Use cast iron chairs and pink and cream linen.Float flower heads and candles in water. Create an arch of scented jasmine and summer flowers and large cream ribbons

Food & Drink:
Fill picnic hampers full of finger foods, wine, blanket. Tie with cream and pink organza ribbons and family name.Vegetable and herb soups to start followed by cold meats and salads for sit down meal. ok so you guys so have been at least thinking about ur dream wedding whilst u have been reading this - comment on what u like and what you don't ... and yes kat we know u hate my colour scheme already :P but i  love your rose idea - the only thing is it has to be baby pink roses but its sounds so romantic - i want a dress christine style in either white or pink and with pink ballet flat things to dance the night away in.
